Suppliers must not use involuntary or forced labour, whether indentured, bonded, imprisoned or otherwise. All employment must be on a voluntary basis and workers should be free to terminate their employment at any time with reasonable notice.
Traceability and transparency are key focuses for ensuring sustainable and ethical sourcing. At Tigerlily, our team visits each principle factory at least once a year, where we see firsthand the conditions and standards in our tier one factories.

We only work with partners who are signatories to our code, hold internationally recognised certification and agree to be audited. To ensure ongoing compliance we engage the services of internationally recognised certification consultants Bureau Veritas.
Our approach to conscious sourcing means we prioritise conduct, compliance and independent certification over price. We aim to forge partnerships that contribute fairly and mindfully to benefit our partners, environment, customers and local communities.
Code of Ethical Trade
AT TIGERLILY WE ONLY WORK WITH PARTNERS WHO ARE SIGNATORIES TO OUR CODE OF ETHICAL TRADE
Our code consists of 11 mandatory requirements to trade, including: No Child Labor, No Forced Labor, No Harassment, Wages and Benefits, Hours of Work, Health and Safety, Non-Discrimination, Freedom of Association, Collective Bargaining, Environment and Communication.
Our code is based on industry standards established by organizations such as the Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP), the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), and the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (SEDEX). Our full code can be viewed online.No Forced LabourNo Child Labour
Suppliers must not employ workers younger than the minimum age or under the age for completing
compulsory education in the country of manufacture. In addition, suppliers must comply with all local
legal requirements for the work of authorised young workers, particularly those pertaining to hours of
work, wages and working conditions.No Harassment
Suppliers must be committed to a workplace free of harassment. Suppliers must treat all workers with
respect and dignity. No worker shall be subject to harsh or inhumane treatment, including sexual
harassment, sexual abuse, corporal punishment, mental or physical coercion or verbal abuse.Renumeration
Suppliers must pay a fair remuneration for both men and women workers, of at least the minimum
compensation required by local law and provide all legally mandated benefits. In addition to their
compensation for regular hours of work, workers must be compensated for overtime hours at such
premium rate as is legally required or, in those countries where such laws do not exist, at least equal
to their regular hourly compensation rate. In addition, Suppliers will not use monetary fines as a form
of discipline and must not delay, withhold or defer wages legally due to its employees, outside of
industry standards.Working Hours
Suppliers must ensure that, except in extraordinary circumstances, working hours and consecutive
working days will be fair and in compliance with the local regulations and planned in a way to ensure
safe and humane working conditions. In addition, all workers shall be entitled to at least one day off in
every consecutive seven-day period.Non-Discrimination
Suppliers must not discriminate against any worker based on age, race, colour, sex, religion, political
opinion, sexuality or disability. Suppliers must ensure employment - including hiring, remuneration,
benefits, advancements, termination and retirement is based on ability and not to the exclusion or
preference that impairs equality of opportunity or treatment in employment.Health and Safety
Suppliers must provide a safe and healthy working environment, which will facilitate optimal physical
and mental health in compliance with all applicable, legally mandated standards for workplace health
and safety in the countries in which they operate. Appropriate training must be given to workers on
workplace and safety practices and procedures.Freedom of Association
Suppliers must recognise and respect the rights of workers to exercise lawful rights of free association,
including joining or not joining any labour union or association without prior permission. Suppliers must
also respect the legal right of workers to bargain collectively.Environment
Suppliers must comply with all applicable environmental legislation and standards, to facilitate the
protection of the environment. We encourage and expect the adoption of sustainable best practices.
Suppliers should be committed to reducing the environmental impact of their designs, manufacturing
processes and waste emissions.Anti-bribery and Corruption
Suppliers should ensure that their business conduct compliant with all legislation and aligned to high
ethical standards, including honesty, transparency and legality. Suppliers shall not engage in any form
of corrupt practices, including but not limited to extortion, fraud or bribery.Implementation
The Code forms part of TIGERLILY’s Terms and Conditions of Purchase. Suppliers must communicate
this Code with all workers and subcontractors and ensure they comply with the standards set out in
this document. TIGERLILY may review and revise this Code periodically which can be viewed on our
website. Suppliers further grant TIGERLILY the right to conduct audits and or physical inspections
(announced or otherwise) of its facilities and records on an on-going basis to verify compliance with
Certifications & Auditing
When it comes to auditing, we believe specialised expertise is required. At Tigerlily we have partnered with respected international certification agency Bureau Veritas, to ensure compliance with our Code of Ethical Trade as well as local and international regulatory requirements and standards equivalent to SA800.
Before we enter a partnership, we check if our suppliers are accredited with Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP), the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), and the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (SEDEX).
On our behalf, Bureau Veritas review and confirm certificates exist and are valid. Where certificates are due to expiry or non-existent, they arrange auditing and certification on an annual basis.
Our supply chain is made up of two Tiers. Tier One specifies all partners that manufacture product, Tier Two specifies all mills and printing houses.

As part of our commitment to traceability, we have identified twelve Tier Two Partners who provide fabric and services to our 28 Tier One Partners.
